Activity:
Jorge Gamboa obtained the degree of Doctor of Science from the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil). Between 1990 and 1994 he carried out postdoctoral research at the University of Zaragoza (Spain), the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Paris-Sud University in Orsay (France), and at the Siegen University (Germany).
In 1991 he was awarded the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship and in 1997 the John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship. In 2019 he obtained the return scholarship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to work for seven months at the DESY in Hamburg (Germany). Gamboa's scientific research is diverse and encompasses areas such as Mathematical-Physics, non-perturbative aspects of quantum field theory and condensed matter, as well as astroparticle physics and cosmology.
