Research in numbers

At present, the Department of Physics of the USACH is an academic unit with more than 40 years of history and expertise. In the last 20 years, it has built a robust and experienced team of faculties, that occupy a prominent place in the field of experimental and theoretical research.

The funding of our research activities comes mainly from two sources: the National Research and Development Agency (www.anid.cl) and the Scientific and Technological Research Directorate (www.vridei.usach.cl) of the University of Santiago. Collaborative projects are funded through the Anillos, Basal and Milenio initiatives, while the acquisition of advanced equipment has been obtained through the Fondequip program.
