PhD in Applied Sciences with specialization in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology - IPICyT, Mexico

 

He graduated in Physics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile in 2002, obtaining the Master's Degree in Applied Sciences, major Advanced Materials in 2004 and subsequently the doctorate degree in Applied Sciences, major Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in 2007 at the IPICYT institute in San Luis de Potosí, Mexico. Later on, between 2008 and 2010, he did a post-doctorate at the MINATEC Institute in Grenoble, France, to finally join the University of Santiago de Chile in 2010. He works in the area of Condensed Matter and is a researcher at The Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA). From 2019 he has been appointed as the Director of the Master of Science with a major in Physics program. His main lines of research are Condensed Matter and Nanotechnology with applications in the environment, electronic transport, mechanical reinforcement of nanomaterials, among others. He has 26 publications indexed in the Web of Science with more than 640 citations.
