PhD In Sciences from the The Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC). She is currently a titular professor at the University of Santiago de Chile and the director of the Center for the Development of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA).

For her scientific achievements, she has received various recognitions, including the prestigious National Prize for Exact Sciences in 2019.
