Internal scholarships

The University of Santiago de Chile perceives Inclusion and Social Responsibility as its institutional values. It has consistently developed a program of competitive scholarship funds for graduate students. Below there  is a list of benefits you can apply for as a graduate student:

  1. Annual Tuition Fee (for Master's): It grants total or partial financing of the annual graduate fee and does not cover payment of the basic semester fee (enrollment). The requirements are to be a regular student, and to participate in an external scholarship contest.
  2. Maintenance Scholarship (for Master's): Provides an amount of money for the fellow's personal expenses. The requirements are to be a regular student and to participate in a scholarship competition outside the University of Santiago de Chile. Beneficiary students must repay with hours of teaching or administrative tasks.
  3. Research Support Grant: It consists of financial support (up to US $ 1,500) for graduate students to participate in external congresses, symposia, courses or seminars, or equivalent activities that are significant for their academic training.
  4. Scholarship for U de Santiago de Chile wmployees: Reduction of 50% of the annual fee for the postgraduate program and in the payment of the basic semester fee (tuition). This scholarship is awarded according to the administration and availability of each program, one of requirements is to be an employee of the University of Santiago de Chile, either an academic or an administrative employee.
  5. USACH ex-student scholarship: The fee reduction is aimed at graduates (former students) who certify the completion of undergraduate studies at the University of Santiago de Chile. The existence of quotas for these scholarships should be consulted in each Program Secretariat.

External scholarships

The University of Santiago de Chile is accredited by the National Accreditation Commission (CNA Chile), and for these reasons, students can access funds for tuition-fee benefits and for other purposes at the national and international level. Although each fund is administered by the corresponding organizations, the University for its part promotes scholarships contests, supports, and encourages its students to apply. Below please find a list of available benefits for our students.

  1. ANID National Master Scholarship. The National Master Scholarship finances master's studies in all areas of knowledge, in accredited programs. More information can be found at the website of the National Research and Development Agency (ANID).
  2. Bilateral Agreements DRII - University of Santiago. The Department of International and Interuniversity Relations invites undergraduate and graduate students to apply for the International Student Mobility Exchange through existing agreements between the University of Santiago de Chile and its partner universities in the world, to carry out student exchange in semesters 1 or 2 of 2021 at a foreign university.
